In this recital, baritone Jackey Wu will perform a selection of opera arias and art songs by various composers, each set in the context of night and dreams. In addition to the traditional Romantic repertoire, the repertoire also includes songs about night and dreams from various periods, including Baroque, Realism, and even Abstract Art. The meaning of "dream" encompasses its visions and portents, its detachment and reality, its beauty and ugliness, its sorrow and awakening. As the title suggests, the concert's theme, "A MELODIC FLOWING IN DREAMS," reflects the singer's years-long pilgrimage in pursuit of his vocal "dream." The concert will feature two renowned singers, a soprano and a bass-baritone as surprise guests.
